Fall Out Boy Save rock and Roll.

Recently Fall Out Boy have come out of hiatus and released an album having worked on the album in secret which is pretty much the best ways to come back from a break as the second you announced you're back together you already have a whole album, there is less pressure and it's much nicer for your fans not having to wait, plus it would be pretty awkward if you announce that you are getting back together and you all fall out putting the album together so I have so much respect for Fall Out Boy for doing this in secret.

What happened to Fall Out Boy during the hiatus is rather sad, the band took a break because they simply didn't enjoy it anymore, people weren't liking the new tracks and they couldn't so it any more.

They all ventured on solo careers which sadly ultimately failed, the lead singer Patrick Stump wrote, produced and performed a solo album, married his girlfriend and lost a lot of weight, his solo career flopped and in a blog entry he revealed how "fans" would throw abuse at him on his solo tour with comments like "We liked you better fat" which is horrible considering the work that he put into his solo career and weight loss.

Bassist Pete Wentz began abusing prescription drugs and split from wife Ashlee Simpson, wrote a novel and hosted a reality competition about tattoos.

Drummer Andy Hurley and guitarist Joe Trohman formed a heavy metal outfit " the dammed things"  with Scott Ian and Rob Caggiano of "anthrax" and Keith Buckley of "Every time I die".

The album came about when Stump wrote Wentz a letter about how he felt like he was in a dark place and wanted an outlet for creativity and the two began writing together.

The whole back story really depresses me, I just feel horrible that they got to a point of feeling like that and I'm quite angry that people treated them like that to begin with, it's sad to think that happened and people (like me) had no idea that happend a just brought the new album as if nothing happened.

The nice part is that "Save rock and roll" has achieved so much popularity without everyone hearing the sad back story and pitying the band, Instead they just made a great album and reinvented them selves.

Teen Titans Go!

The Teen Titans was a cartoon series on cartoonnetwork that aired between 2003 to 2006.
It was great because it was child friendly, it probably disappointed a lot of older fans but I was 7 or 8 when it aired so I didn't have a problem with it being childish and this show (along with a few others) are most likely the reason why I like the super hero genre, but on a non-nostalgic note this show introduced many kids to The super hero genre and not to mention introducing lesser known characters to the midstream public.

Another cool thing about the show was the voice actors and the comedy (the darker story lines were cool too) but I think as a little girl I was put off by action, like it was more for the boys or maybe it would be scary or something but the Teen Titans did a good job of making action funny and the show was pretty unisex, I also think the characterization and the choice of voice actors were good and really captured the characters.

Any way until recently the Titans were a thing of the past but then cartoonnetwork decided to make Teen Titan shorts for the DC Nation block along side Green Lantern Animated Series, Young Justice and other shorts thent they decided it would be a better idea to make full length Teen Titan episodes but to make them more like the shorts and the series would be named "Teen Titans Go!"

Then cartoonnetwork announced that Young justice and Green lantern Animated Series were to be  cancelled and many hearts were broken.

Sadly some people blame this new series for the cancellation of the other shows but I don't think that is the case, I feel cartoonnetwork had the perfect opportunity to have a bigger better DC Nation block with Green lantern, Young Justice, Teen Titans and the new batman show or they could have used the popularity of the current shows to help introduce the new ones, then they could have cancelled what ever wasn't the most profitable.

I just feel that if these new shows become flops they can't really turn to Green Lantern or Young Justice for help.

I've seen the first 2 episodes of Teen Titans Go

I have to admit that I did laugh, I though Raven watching  My little pony was funny because raven is voiced by Tara strong who voices Twilight Sparkle in my little pony then they had her voice the ponies. (But arguably many people probably thought that Raven watching ponies is out of character which is a good point and I don't disagree with you.)

Sadly the show doesn't look like it is going to be serious any time soon and the animation doesn't look as impressive as it used to be however it does retain the two things that made it so good to begin with and that is the comedy and the voice acting, the characters are still well defined (albeit out of character cartoon watching habits) and it is still very child orientated which can be good or bad depending who you see it, it is good that it introduces young children to superheros but bad because it isn't as interesting to older fans.

Do I think that this is better than Young Justice? No i don't, but it's not bad and if i was 10 years younger I would probably disagree to be honest, who knows, there has literally been 2 episodes so I'll give this series time, it's early days.

My Relationship with Midsomer murders.

I pretty much love all Tv and I usually like Mystery Dramas but something Midsomer murders makes me want to hate it but in reality I end up compelled to watch the whole episode.

Midsomer murders is a British murder mystery Drama that takes place around an area called Midsomers (a small fictional county) the series has been running since 1997 and new episodes air a few times a year, the episodes are usually aired before the watershed and has given plenty of kids (including me) nightmares over the years.

I think most of my hate for the series comes from that time I saw a couple having a picnic then the next time we saw them they were dead in a field  and ever since then til about the age of 8 I would cry uncontrollably every time an episode would air.

now I hate/Love it because the plots are really weird, usually in mystery dramas like Law and order or Lewis etc, a person will kill someone for reason  then they might go on to kill other people to cover up something but Midsomer murders has the craziest motives.

If you though CSI or it's many spin off's had weird murders you haven't seen anything yet, Midsomers is like film HotFuzz expect i'm not sure whether Midsomers is meant to be funny or not.

Each episode seems to have a theme, like one episode all the deaths were golf related, I.E the murder killed his victims with golf items, the whole episode was set around a golf course.
another was set around a miniature model village and it opened up with a dead man pinned to the floor like Gulliver.

The most recent Episode was cheese themed, the man killed people with cheese related items because they no longer wanted to make cheese in the traditional way, he killed about 4 people, it was hilarious.

I do respect the series, because it has had such a long and I honestly do find it funny which I love and I would like to think it's meant to funny or sarcastic or something.
I also like how British this is, only in Britain would this ever make sense which is nice, you can easily air other British mystery drama's in america but for some reason I don't think any one else would understand.

Lego Marvel Super Heroes (the video game)

I love the Lego video games, there is something really exciting about playing as Lego versions of your favorite Film or comic book characters.

Me and my friend are often making Lego video game wishlists I think the hunger games could be a cool Lego game but i won't be holding my breath.

Any way since me and my friend saw the avengers we agreed that would make an awesome Lego game, well travelers tales has gone one up and made a "Marvel" Lego game, it will include characters from The Avengers, The X-Men and even Spider-man and Deadpool are going to be playable characters.

What I like about the Lego games is that they are funny and nothing gets much cuter than Lego people (or maybe that's just my opinion) but what really sells this game is that they appeal to pretty much anyone, my Brother loves it, my Dad loves it, I love it.
It is easy to drop in and out of the game so if my Mum calls anyone way from the game the other player doesn't have to quit or wait and then the person can come back after and play again also the films/comic books are usually the kind of films/comics that both parents and their kids know and love.

The only problem I have with the games is my Brothers video game rage, if you don't do what he wants you to do he will yell at you but that isn't the games fault, I wished you could play with more players because in my house we argue about who's going to play, other people must have this problem too so I wished more people can play at the same time, or maybe not.
I would hate to have 3 brothers yelling at me for doing something wrong, that would be terrible and so much worse.

Me verses my Brother

Me and my Brother argue about everything but nothing infuriates both of us more than each others taste in media.

almost everything I watch, listen to and play he will hate and pretty much everything he watches, listens to and plays I hate.

It is actually really weird that two children who were raised in the same house by the same people can disagree that much on what we think we is cool however we do have something in common, we both get passionate about what we like and every now and again one of us will be watching/listening/playing something and the other finds interesting and would join them or ask them questions like "what are you listening to?" or " can you start the video from the beginning?", we do sometimes like the same things but that is really rare or it is something really hard to hate.

I can't really say who I think has better tastes in media because I'm obviously going to say me but I shall elaborate the difference in our tastes.

Music:

I like:
Bands like OneRepublic, The Fray and Keane the most because I like the lyrics and Instruments.

My Brother likes:
DJ's like David Guetta and Swedish House Mafia, apparently he likes the beats, I think he also likes the artists that feature in thoses songs (because DJ's don't sing) unless he is Ryan Tedder from OneRepublic which he will hate regardless, I do like DJ's too but I like my brother it depends who's singing.

We Both like:
Bastille

Video games:

I like:
Lots of games but I play some video games he doesn't like/doesn't like anymore, like professor layton and pokemon.

My brother likes:
He likes first person shooters and FIFA the most and hogs the PS3.

We Both like:
Smash Bros and most first person shooters.

Films:

I like:
most films, I prefer fast paced action to slow, I like animated films the best, It annoys my whole family if  I watch anime. I like fantasy and sci-fi.

My Brother likes:
My Brother also likes action, he hates gore and horror , he likes some animated films and likes sci-fi.

We Both like:
Okay, our film taste is pretty similar.
We both like the film "17 again"

Tv:

I like:
I watch too many cartoons, I like super hero cartoons a lot, sitcoms, dramas and mystery dramas are cool.

My Brother likes:
In all honesty he spends more time playing video games, but he likes game shows more than me, he hates superhero cartoons, the sitcoms I watch and most of the other stuff I like too.

We Both like:
Soap Operas.

It is really nice when we find things we both like because it doesn't happen too often and we have more fun when we both enjoy something.

Girl Meets World the Boy Meets World sequel.

I'm excited to hear that a Boy Meets World sequel is in development titled " Girl Meets World" the new series will follow the 13 year old daughter of Cory and Topanga Mathews.

I was born in England half way through the 90's so I shouldn't really know as much as I do about 90's american sitcoms but because Disney channel uk aired 90's sitcoms during the late 1990's and early 2000's that I actually got to see them, unfortunately none of my friends have seen them and have no idea what I'm talking about when I mention "Smart guy" or  "Boy Meets World".

If you are wondering what Boy Meets World was, it  was a sitcom that followed a young boy called Cory Mathews from the age of 12 to becoming a man and marrying his childhood sweet heart, it was really sweet at times and sad at others, it was just about life in general and it was just really nice to watch and funny too, i recommend watching some episodes.

(Now if your wondering what smart guy was about because I mentioned it and now your curious, it was about a young boy who was moved up to an older class at school because of his intelligence, he ended up sharing class with his older sister. you should check that out too.)

Any way back to Girl Meet World, i'm really looking forward this and have high hopes for it but at the same time I am feeling wary this might not live up to my expectations.

The thing is that Boy meets world was really good and it had such a long run so if this new show doesn't match that people will disappointed,  the show will air on Disney channel and I do love Disney channel (Obviously) but Boy meets world aired on ABC, I'm just worried that the series will be too geared toward pre-teen girls like Hannah Montanan was and I didn't really like that so much, but I'm still looking forward to it, the cast sounds good and if it's any where as good as Boy Meets World it will be great.

One thing about what I've heard about Girl Meets World that I'm pleased about is the fact that Mr Feeney is back! Mr Feeney was the best part of the show and I wasn't expecting for him to come back, unfortunately Eric and Shawn do not intend to to make returns as of now but maybe they will change their minds.

Any how I will be dedicating a lot of time to watching this when it comes out and hope that it lives up to my expectations.

My relationship with Lara Croft.

I have a long and complicated relationship with Crofty, my first memory of Lara was when I was little (probably 3 or 4) and my Dad and Uncle both had Tomb Raider games and I would watch because i was terrible at video games
.
All was good watching my uncle make Lara swim underwater, it was pretty exciting and I was enjoying myself when out of now where a crocodile came along and ate her, I cried. Hysterically. I told my Uncle that it was a horrible game and he should throw it in the bin, to be honest it wasn't the best idea to let me watch Tomb Raider but I don't think games had age ratings back then.

The new Tomb Raider has been out a short while now and i came across a video on YouTube about the horrible death animations in the new game and I can tell you they are painfully brutal.

Aren't they lovely, now if I had seen that game as a child I would've been traumatized, weirdly enough these animations are now what draws me to this game, maybe it's because I can now appreciate the effort that goes into every gory frame, or because graphics are so much better now or maybe i'm old enough to not freak out when fictional people die. (okay so maybe I do freak out sometimes.)

Recently I've been playing the old PS1 Tomb Raider games, there is a long story about how I brought a second hand PS1 and games, my friends dad even gave me some PS1 games he had because i had been with my friend when i brought it , only to take it home and find out that I can't use it but as it turned out you can PS1 games on our PS3 so I didn't completely lose out.

The controls for the PS3 are so much easier than the PS1, I remember getting frustrated when I was little playing the Playstation but I thought I was just bad because I was young and I presumed that i got better over time. I was wrong.

I was stuck in this cave for ages, I can't remeber what the PS1 controller was like but when you play Play Station 1 games on the PS3 you use the arrow buttons to move, If you press the down arrow you hop backwards and to change direction you need to press the left or right arrow to turn on the spot then press forward to walk, this took me about 10 minutes to work that out, I still forget how to move and end up hopping around or running in circles.

Then I found this opening thing on a ledge, I tried to get Lara to jump onto the ledge but she just jumped up and down, It was so frustrating I eventually worked out that after she jumps you need to press another button so she grabs onto the ledge then press the up arrow to make her physically climb and I felt really stupid that i had spent so much time trying to climb a ledge that came up to Lara crofts chin.

it was really weird to me, the games I play literally tell me what to do and or do it for me which also makes me feel stupid for not knowing what to do myself, like the Amazing Spider-man game for PS3 to move Spidey all you have to do is press a button to look through his goggles point to one of the golden Spider-men  and Spider-man will somersault through the air while you sit back and watch so having to physically haul Lara up onto a ledge seemed kind of alien but kind of cool at the same time.

Any way got out of that cave and got killed by bats, re-spawned worked my way through again, worked  out how to use the gun, shot the bats and carried on.
Like I mentioned before the controls did this annoying thing there you had to turn on the spot before moving and this made it hard to walk across the bridges in the nest room, I fell off the bridge and got stuck in a pit, the only way out of this pit was to find a ledge and climb out which isn't easy when you are hopping backwards trying to run away from wolves, I died.

By this point I spent so much time on this game and have barely even got through the first level but I thought I knew what I was doing so I re-spawned again and got back to the wolf pit room and tried not to fall into the pit and then I fell in the pit again, thankfully I shot the wolves this time, the room was kind of cool there was this 2D mummy thing that made me and my brother laugh, I climbed out of the pit and made my way to the next room.

The next room had a trench thing with vines growing out of the ceiling, I presumed that you have to jump across and/or swing on the vines, I jumped over the trench and I even button mashed hoping to do something cool to get my across but she just fell into the trench and the trench had a bear in it, the bear didn't really do anything to Crofty but i didn't want to let it try so I shot it  any way.

I made my way back to the top of the ledge and tried leaping again but landed next to my dead bear, I did this 2 more times before giving up, I couldn't even get through the first level and I swear i spent over an hour to get that far.
I still feel very embarrassed about the whole thing but I'll probably try it again at some point, now I know that there is someone out there who knows about getting over that trench and will embarrass me further but the point is that Tomb Raider is a fun and hard game (hard for me any way) and I will probably buy the new game at some point and I will be patiently awaiting any new Tomb Raider titles in the future.
